Atu was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Jos, Nigeria. He has played all US youth levels from AYSO - Academy and eventually college at Messiah University and Biola University. He went on to play professionally in Denmark and South Korea before transitioning into coaching. With over five years of coaching experience, he has worked with high-level athletes across all youth levels, college, and Pro.

He is the founder of Yaro Sports, a player development company focused on building elite athletes and sharpening performance through intentional development. Since launching Yaro Sports, he has helped hundreds of youth and collegiate players grow mentally, tactically, and technically: helping them reach their own goals.
